Immigration Minister Alex Hawke revoked Djokovic’s visa for a second time on the grounds of ‘health and good order’.
But the nine-time Australian Open champion’s lawyers argue his visa has been cancelled because of how anti-vaxxers would perceive him, rather than on public health grounds.
Djokovic faces a three-year ban from travelling to Australia if he’s deported, meaning the 2020 Australian Open could’ve very well been his last.
Despite his unclear status, he was included in Thursday’s first-round draw ahead of vying for his 21st Grand Slam title.
