Margot Robbie’s perky Barbie voice is revealed as the actress is caught speaking in character for the first time
Margot Robbie’s voice as the character of Barbie in the upcoming live-action film about the Mattel doll has been revealed.
Footage of Robbie filming on location in California with co-star America Ferrera captured the 31-year-old speaking in a chipper, enthusiastic voice.
‘Ready for fun?’ she chirps while roller-skating, before adding a high-pitched ‘Yay!’

The short clip went viral on social media and attracted a positive reception from fans.
One fan compared Margot’s voice to her iconic character Harley Quinn, while another gushed: ‘She is the moment!’
According to Vulture, the film is ‘a fish-out-of-water story about a doll who is ousted from toy society for not being perfect enough’.
Another synopsis on IMDB reads: ‘A doll living in “Barbieland” is expelled for not being perfect enough and sets off on an adventure in the real world. A live-action feature film based on the popular line of Barbie toys.’

Oscar winner Ryan Gosling is starring opposite Robbie as he takes on the role of Barbie’s boyfriend Ken.
Will Ferrell is said to be playing the CEO of the toy company that may or may not be Mattel.
Little Women and Ladybird filmmaker Greta Gerwig is directing the project, and wrote the script with her longtime partner Noah Baumbach.
Other members of the cast include Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, America Ferrara, Rhea Perlman, Ariana Greenblatt, Ana Cruz Kayne, Alexandra Shipp, Ritu Arya, Sharon Rooney, Connor Swindells, Scott Evans and Jamie Demetriou.

Fans think Mackey will be playing the role of Skipper, the younger sister of Barbie, due to to her resemblance to Margot.
Also linked to the film are Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan, actress Saoirse Ronan and pop sensation Dua Lipa – but these have not yet been confirmed.
It has been rumoured there will be different versions of Barbie and Ken, with one Barbie said to be portrayed by Issa Rae and the other might be Hari Nef.
Marvel’s Simu Liu and new Doctor Who Ncuti Gatwa are also said be playing other Kens.
The live-action Barbie flick is set for release on July 21, 2023
