Brie Bella admits Leonardo DiCaprio never responded to her direct message

Brie Bella seemingly got the shaft from Leonardo DiCaprio on social media, the pro-wrestler reveals.

During the new episode of E!’s digital series, Down in the DMs, Brie and her twin sister Nikki, opened up about some embarrassing Instagram encounters (or lack there of.)

The 38-year-old mother of two explained that she once reached out Leo, a well known activist, about an environmentally friendly company but the actor never responded.

‘Our close friends Carlo Mondavi and his fiancé Gio, they started this electric tractor company and what they want to do for the environment is incredible,’ Brie explained.

She said she had reached out to Leo, 47, on social media to try to get him involved writing: ‘Leo, this would be huge for not only the environment, but especially farming.’

The Total Bellas star thought that the concept and her well crafted message would no doubt get the Oscar winner’s attention but she was sadly mistaken.

‘I thought that would’ve really got him. And then it didn’t,’ the raven haired beauty quipped, adding: ‘So Leo, if you’re listening, DM me back!’

It’s unlikely the Titanic star is blatantly ignoring the WWE maven. Leo boasts more than 50 million followers and doesn’t actually follow Brie himself so there is a good chance he never saw the message.

For his part, however, DiCaprio might want to take a look at Mondavi’s electric farming company as he is constantly working to combat climate change and improve the environment.

The star, whose current Netflix film, Don’t Look Up, tackles that very topic recently said he hopes the movie will open viewers’ eyes to the threat of climate change.

Leo was joined by his costar Jennifer Lawrence and writer–director Adam McKay to chat about the satire, in which politicians, the media and even ordinary citizens are unconcerned about a world-ending comet flying toward Earth.

After Today anchor Savannah Guthrie quizzed DiCaprio on the film’s connections to both the climate crisis and the ongoing battle against the novel coronavirus, DiCaprio said he hoped the film would be a ‘wake-up call.’

‘If you do a film about climate change, it’s nearly impossible to get people to get a sense of urgency and hold a mirror to our culture and media and politics and all of these things,’ the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star said.

‘And I just felt like this was an incredible gift to be a part of a movie that encapsulated exactly what we’re going through at this particular moment in time.

‘But yeah, I am a bit of a Debbie Downer because the clock is absolutely ticking,’ he added.

Meanwhile, Brie wasn’t the only one who received a social media cold shoulder from a fellow celebrity.

Her twin sister Nikki admitted that she once slid into fellow E! star Kourtney Kardashian’s DMs and got crickets in return.

‘I don’t even watch their show, but there was a few things I saw, I’m like, ‘I think she might be really affected,” she revealed.

Adding: ‘If she did see it, she probably was like, ‘Who the f is this girl?”
