Brooklyn Beckham fills up swanky McLaren sports car before taking it for a spin

Brooklyn Beckham certainly knew how to travel in style on Wednesday as he was spotted posing with a swanky McLaren P1 at a petrol station in Los Angeles.

The aspiring chef, 23, looked chuffed with the £300,000 new wheels as he filled up the car, before taking it for a spin before heading to The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel.

Brooklyn’s cool handling of the vehicle comes in stark contrast to how he was on Monday, as he struggled to exit the car while juggling his coffee and keys.

As he topped up the gas for the burgundy limited edition hybrid car, Brooklyn cut a cool and casual figure, donning a plain white T-shirt and pale blue jeans.

The husband of Nicola Peltz teamed his look with a black sports cap and white trainers.

And as Brooklyn then took to the roads, he was no doubt sure to turn heads while zipping past in the stunning red motor.

Just days before, Brooklyn suffered an awkward moment as he had difficulty in getting out of the stylish sports car as he balanced his coffee and keys in his hands.

Brooklyn was dressed casually for the outing in a plain white T-shirt and baggy jeans, which he teamed with white trainers and a spiky hair do.

Brooklyn had parked the pricey vehicle on the street to run in to a shop before heading on his way.

His outing comes after he revealed how he found his true passion in life through cookery – after previous failed careers in photography and football.

The son of David and Victoria Beckham spoke of his hopes to open a pub in LA that serves ‘healthy comfort food’ and have a reality show with wife Nicola in a joint interview with Variety.

Brooklyn, who briefly attended New York’s Parson’s School of Design to study photography, is now learning to be a chef and frequently shares cooking videos for adoring fans.

The star said he would ‘literally die’ for cooking, while dismissing his previous photography career – which saw him release panned 2017 book, What I See – as a ‘hobby.’

He said: ‘I really enjoyed [photography]  for a couple of years. I love taking pictures of my wife. I still have all my film cameras, but now it’s just more of a fun thing to do. They were kind of all hobbies. I was still trying to find that one thing I would literally die for, and I found that with cooking.’

‘I’m almost 100% self-taught. Ever since the start of quarantine, I’ve done it every single day, and it’s the one thing I’ve found that takes my mind off of anything I’m thinking about.’

‘I would love to have my own pub. I would love to have my own sauces, knives, pots and pans, Not like a chef — I’m always going to be learning about cooking. I want to have so many TV shows, and hopefully one day open up a pub in LA, because LA needs a pub.

Brooklyn, whose own parents are one of the most influential pairings in the world, said he and new bride Nicola, 27, would love to do a reality show to show the dynamic of their relationship.

He said:  ‘I’ve always said to my wife, we should actually do a reality TV show, because she’s so funny,’ Peltz Beckham says. ‘And we take the p**s out of each other all the time. She sometimes doesn’t get my English humour.’

This would be following in the footsteps of his mother Victoria, 48, who famously appeared in 2007 documentary, Coming To America.

Brooklyn recently showed off his recipe for fish and chips on Instagram, despite having come under fire recently for his frequently-ridiculed cooking skills.

He said: ‘Some Americans find English food kind of gross, which I don’t understand.

‘But I cook fish and chips and pie and mash for my American friends, and at the end they’re like, “OK, I understand.”

Critics have previously called attention to Brooklyn’s lack of training and expertise, while condemning the cost of his professionally edited Instagram videos.
