Chrissy Teigen shows legs in short green jacket dress while promoting Chrissy's Court on talk show

Chrissy Teigen admitted that she never really envisioned herself being a TV judge on Tuesday’s episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS.

The 36-year-old model and personality stars in Chrissy’s Court, where she presides as the judge over real small-claims cases along with her 59-year-old mother Vilailuck ‘Pepper Thai’ Teigen, who serves as her bailiff on the show.

Chrissy while wearing a short green jacket dress revealed that she grew up interested in the law partly because of her mother.

‘She had me watching court shows, Court TV,’ Chrissy said. ‘I grew up on the OJ Simpson trial. Maybe that’s why I love Bravo so much now, because before Bravo, it was Court TV.’

Chrissy said her mother was also enjoying playing her bailiff part on the show.

‘She has no idea what she is doing and we don’t really tell her honestly,’ Chrissy said. ‘She is just happy to be in front of the camera.’

‘She takes selfies all day, I’ve never seen anything like it.’ Chrissy added of her mom. ‘She makes my kids take pictures of her. She doesn’t take pictures with my kids.’

Chrissy said she has had to learn during filming that she just can’t give things away to people on the show to make them feel better.

‘I would feel bad for a lot of the people,’ Chrissy said. ‘And I would be like ”you have never been to ComicCon do you want five tickets to ComicCon?” And then my people would be in my ear that you can’t offer things. We legally have to do that. So then I would have to come out of pocket for a lot of stuff.’

Season two of Chrissy’s Court will premiere on Friday on The Roku Channel after debuting in April 2020 on the now defunct Quibi platform.

The show already has been renewed for a third season.

‘My social team makes me do a few of them and they are just wild,’ Chrissy said. ‘Somebody put balsamic vinegar into seltzer water the other day and called it cheap coke. I was like what the, in what world. But these are the things that they are thinking of doing. There was one that I was actually sold on pouring ranch dressing powder mix into a jar of pickles. Then letting it sit overnight and you have these ranchy pickles. But for the most part, I hate everything on TikTok.’

James shared a picture of Chrissy’s four-year-old son Miles hugging Lance Bass, 43.

‘He loves people, but he really loves Lance Bass,’ Chrissy said. ‘He has no idea how cool he is. He has no idea that mommy grew up loving Lance. Lance was her choice.’

Chrissy also told fellow guest Rose Byrne, 42, that she thought she would make an amazing couple with her husband John Legend, 43.

‘I’ve always had it in my head that you and John would make an amazing couple,’ Chrissy said. ‘He very much loves you and Bobby. Adores you. But I started realizing very slowly that he really loves your movies. And I would see him, he’d suggest Bridesmaids, and he doesn’t even like scary movies, but he’d suggest ”should we watch Insidious,” anything you are in, he loves. The common denominator is Rose Byrne. He loves you. ‘

Rose laughed.

‘It’s our running joke,’ Chrissy.

‘I honestly could not believe that he would even know who I am,’ Rose said. ‘I’m flattered.’
