Ciara celebrates reaching the New York Times Best Sellers list after the publication of her children’s book Why Not You?

Ciara celebrated the successful launch of her new children’s book, Why Not You?, by sharing a video to her Instagram account on Thursday.

In the clip, the 36-year-old hitmaker thanked her fans for supporting the new publication, which was co-written with her husband, Russell Wilson.

After expressing her excitement about her book reaching the New York Times Best Sellers list, the Grammy-winning artist then danced for the camera before sending out a final message to her followers.

The 1, 2 Step singer accessorized with several shining articles of jewelry and her gorgeous brunette locks remained free-flowing.

The performer began her video by exclaiming: ‘How amazing! Both Russ and I are New York Time Best Sellers!’

She then noted that her new publication would ‘talk about dreams coming true and having a “Why Not You?” attitude.’

Why Not You, which was illustrated by Jessica Gibson, is meant to encourage young readers to work for their goals as they grow older.

The couple spoke about their new book during an interview with Romper, where the singer expressed that the inspiration for the publication came from their formative years.

‘Our parents raised us with a “Why Not You?” attitude, and we are doing the same with our own children. We lead by example to show them that with hard work they can achieve anything they dream of,’ she said.

Ciara went on to state that the book was meant to inspire young readers to follow their own paths in life. 

‘We want kids to welcome new challenges, push to higher heights, to level up, and a “Why Not You?” attitude is needed,’ she said.

Wilson, 33, then noted that he wanted his children to take inspiration from the book’s overall message. 

‘I think what’s really important for me and Ci is to also make sure [our kids] feel like they can pursue any dream they have and anything they want to be,’ he said.

The professional football player also remarked that he wanted Why Not You? to serve as a motivational tool for younger readers.

‘We want kids to have that inspiration and confidence to succeed, to believe in themselves,’ he said.
