Coronation Street viewers left devastated as FOUR characters could be set to leave

Coronation Street viewers left devastated as FOUR characters could be set to leave the Cobbles next week – including fan favourite’s Fiz and Emma

Coronation Street is heading for a massive change up, as four characters could be set to leave the cobbles in the space of one week.

Viewers will definitely see one character leave the show for good, while another is moving away – but in a shock twist it seems that this number could be jumping from two to four.

Actress Alexandra Mardel, who plays Emma Brooker, is leaving Weatherfield after four years on the show.

She has recently been part of the storyline which saw her play a part in the death of her boyfriend Jon’s grandfather Ted, as she and pal Faye crashed into Ted’s car.

Her secret finally is finally exposed to Jon (Jordan Ford Silver) as she leaves on Friday, with fans wondering how the story will play out.

Viewers have been preparing for Emma’s exit from the town for a while, however this also means we are likely to see Jon leave as well during Friday’s episode.

In addition to this, longstanding character Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) is also set to take off, after joining the show in 2001.

Fiz is moving away from Weatherfield, for the first time since joining the show – leaving fans sad to see her go.

However, it seems that it’s not all sad news, as Fiz will soon return to her job at the factory.

And it seems there may be one more exit from the show, as Laura Neelan (Kel Allen) could lose her battle with cancer next week.

While the show hasn’t confirmed the exit, it seems this could be the case, after Gary Windass finds out that she has just hours left to live.

If Laura does tragically lose her life, that would make four exits of different kinds for the ITV soap next week, causing quite the cast stir.

Fans have taken to Twitter to share their sadness at the exits, alongside their predictions of how it will pan out.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
