Speaking about the uncanny magician, the record executive admitted: ‘I wasn’t thrilled. He was what I would call probably a semi professional and we liked it because we have a lot of little magic acts, like playing cards.
‘His was very big and I popped out of nowhere but our audience loves magic acts. That wasn’t my favourite part of the show, though.’
The Little Britain star soon chimed in: ‘You need to behave. He could only be your double if he had some plastic surgery,’ before Simon let slip: ‘I was thinking that.’
A cheeky David added: ‘Also a gastric band,’ before his co-star insisted: ‘I haven’t got a gastric band!’
Healthy lifestyle: Simon’ has overhauled his lifestyle since breaking his back in 2020, ditching his heavy drinking and embarking on a diet and fitness plan to lose 20Ibs (pictured right in September 2018)
The children’s author joked, ‘I’m not saying you have, you’ve obviously lost weight naturally.
David went on to quip that Simon had gone under the knife in order to achieve his age-defying visage.
He said: ‘He looks younger and younger every year, I don’t know how he does it,’ with an irritated Simon hitting back: ‘It’s called exercise and eating well, David.’
‘Also, I don’t do a whole campaign when I’m nominated for one of these judges, which I’ve actually seen him do, he never stops. He’s telling all of his followers to vote for him. I mean, that’s desperate.’

Amanda Holden chimed in: ‘You forget about the pile of books he’s got under the desk that he gives out for people whether they want them or not, they’re signed, they’re there, they’re ready.’
Simon agreed: ‘They’re sort of thrown at people now.’

He said: ‘There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other’.
The former Pop Idol judge went on to reveal that during that period he may have taken things a little too far in his a bid for a youthful appearance.

He admitted he developed the habit in a bit to avoid eating in public and ‘won’t like anything on the menu’ anyway.
Having lost 20Ibs over the past two years, he overhauled his lifestyle after breaking his back in 2020 when he crashed his electric bike near his Malibu home.

WHAT IS AN E-BIKE?
An e-bike is a regular bike with the addition of a battery-powered motor. When you pedal, the motor kicks in to inject extra power up to a maximum speed of 15mph – the legal limit.
Any faster than that and you’ll have to go under your own steam.
E-bikes have gears and brakes. You are in full control of the motor and can switch it on and off as often as you like.
There’s no need to worry about the battery running out, as if it does, you can just keep on riding like you would a normal bike.
Simon was riding a a Das Spitzing Evolution S-Pedelec bike, which costs upwards of £7921 and has top speeds of 27 miles per hour.
The bike has been described as ‘one for professionals’ as a lighter frame and battery result in no limits when riding uphill or downhill.
The power pack has an 120Nm torque which provides up to 550% support for your own pedalling performance on request.
The combination of FOX suspension with up to 160 mm travel on the front and rear wheels and 650+ tyres provides more ease with pedalling uphill.
