Playing chicken! Drew Barrymore shows off her silly side while filming alongside a person in a giant chicken suit

She’s running a-fowl!

Drew Barrymore was seen filming a silly segment, presumably for her popular daytime talk show, on the streets of New York City on Friday.

The 46-year-old actress was clearly up to something fun as she was spotted alongside a person in a huge chicken costume.

Drew looked chic in a pair of rust toned wide-leg trousers and a long wool camel colored trench coat with oversized pockets.

Her long chestnut locks were styled in soft waves and she match the autumnal tones of her ensemble with a dark brick lipstick.

She paired the retro style pants with a vintage inspired printed robin’s egg blue sweater with a pussy bow.

It was unclear exactly what Drew was filming but it will no doubt be a comedy bit since there was an enormous fake chicken costume in the mix.

Drew cuddled up to her feathered friend for several funny photos and each posed with their arms spread wide.

While the actress smiled merrily, the permanent punim on the fake fowl look more unimpressed than anything else.

At one point the pair hailed New York City taxi cab from the sidewalk – though the yellow cab that pulled up didn’t appear nearly large enough for the chicken.

Barrymore debuted her syndicated eponymous talk show in 2020 and revealed in recent episode that she feels ‘vulnerable’ on dating apps.

The mom of two quipped: ‘I will tell you this and don’t feel sorry for me because it’s just what happens to all us women out there… No one has connected with me.’

She went on to express that she found the usage of dating apps to be particularly draining.

‘It makes me feel like such a loser. And you’re like you know what? It’s just hard out there, it’s hard out there for everybody. It’s hard in person, it’s hard on dating apps, it’s vulnerable,’ she said.

However, the actress – who has Olive, nine, and Frankie, seven, with her ex-husband Will Kopelman and was briefly married to both Jeremy Thomas and Tom Green – insists it’s perfectly possible to be happy without having a partner.

She stated: ‘You keep trying, and you fill your life up with so much that it becomes secondary…I think a cherry on top to my life at some convenient, cool, inspiring, unexpected time might be in there – but that’s all it is.’
