EastEnders fans are left terrified after speculating Chelsea will be murdered by husband Gray

EastEnders fans were on the edge of their seats on Wednesday as they watched Chelsea Fox (played by Zaraah Abrahams) finally ask husband Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) if he was a killer.

It’s the moment that fans had been waiting as the new mum confronted her other half over the deaths of his ex-wife Chantelle Adkins (Jessica Plummer) as well as neighbour Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White).

Fans raced to twitter convinced that Chelsea would now be serial killer Gray’s next victim after spotting something suspicious.

With The Carters and Whitney Dean on his tail, determined he faced justice, a desperate Gray attempted to convince his wife Chelsea to flea Walford with him.

The killer, who kidnapped the coupled premature son Jordan from hospital, became more and more desperate as the episode continued.

With one viewer taking to twitter to hail the episode as ‘best in years’ however the tense scenes also left them ‘screaming, crying, throwing up.’

With a desperate Gray wanting to escape, Chelsea found the courage to ask for his confession – claiming she needed to know the truth before she fled the square with him.

A panicked Chelsea telephoned 999 and held the phone in her hand as Gray confessed to the murder of his ex-wife.

As she begged her husband to reveal the location of their baby son and the scene became heated, fans then noticed something that had them ‘screaming’ at the TV.

The same dishwasher that Chantelle fell onto, causing the beloved character’s tragic death, lay opened in the background.

Chelsea even fell over the open door at one point, with fans convinced she too would die in a similar fashion.

Knives facing upward, as their argument continued to become more heated sure that Gray would strike again.

The soap has been through a bit of a shake-up after the seventh star in the last year announced they were quitting.

Stevie Basaula, who plays Isaac Baptiste and was known for his on-screen relationship with Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold), has already filmed his final scenes.

Cast member Zack Morris, 23, who plays Keegan Baker, also revealed he was leaving the soap last month.

The news was announced via the EastEnders official social media accounts, with bosses of the BBC drama noting Keegan will depart Walford later this year.

The announcement of his departure came just months after his co-star and his on-screen wife Maisie Smith, 20, also announced her exit from EastEnders, after 13 years on the show.

Maisie, who played Tiffany Butcher, reportedly left after getting a number of big money offers for other projects – following her stint on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2020.

Meanwhile, Danny Dyer, 44, who plays Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter, announced in January that he would be leaving the soap after nine years.

Also in January, it emerged Ruhtxjiaïh Bèllènéa, who plays Mila Marwa, and her on-screen sister Kioni (Florisa Kamara) would be leaving just over a year after Ruhtxjiaïh joined EastEnders.

The news came after the recent departure of actress Priya Davdra, who was Mila’s girlfriend Iqra Ahmed on the soap.
