EasyJet flight horror as plane fails to land TWICE as 100mph winds lash London

According to reports, the pilots endured two failed landings at Gatwick Airport before going into a holding pattern over Sussex. The plane was then forced to fly back to its departure point in Bordeaux.

It comes as the Met Office has issued red weather warnings for vast swathes of the south of England for today (Friday), with wind gusts up to 79mph.

According to the Independent, passengers on the Easyjet Airbus were told: “We’re very sorry that your flight has now been diverted back to Bordeaux.

“This is due to poor weather conditions in London Gatwick, which are below safe operating limits.”
