EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Catwalk Spencers put their family first at London Fashion Week

Princess Diana’s relations really are a model family.

Her brother Earl Spencer’s daughter, Lady Kitty Spencer, 31, who is an ambassador for Dolce & Gabbana and Bvlgari, joined her model twin sisters, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza, 29, at a London Fashion Week party.

Not to miss out, their 18-year-old half-brother Samuel Aitken has also become a mannequin, landing a contract with 20 Model Management after he walked Lady Kitty down the aisle at her wedding to fashion tycoon Michael Lewis last summer.

Has Jamaica bound plane of convicts been grounded due to royal visit?

With Barbados having become a republic last year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to launch a Caribbean charm offensive next month to shore up support for the monarchy.

And, I hear, the Government is taking drastic steps not to antagonise one of the Queen’s remaining 14 overseas realms.

A flight to Jamaica full of convicted criminals is said to have been delayed until after Prince William and Catherine’s visit.

Deportation charter flights to Jamaica restarted in February 2019 after a two-year hiatus.

It followed the Windrush scandal, which broke in 2018, when it emerged many people whose parents had, between 1948 and 1971, come to the UK from the Caribbean (part of the British Commonwealth) had been wrongly threatened with deportation and accused of being here illegally.

Flights deporting convicted criminals have taken place every February since then, except last February because of the pandemic.

In 2021, legal bids resulted in only seven people being deported in August despite 90 being originally earmarked for the flight.

Three months later, another flight departed with just four criminals after last-minute legal challenges meant 33 people did not board as planned.

According to a report in The Voice, a British African-Caribbean newspaper, a deportation flight to Jamaica due to go ahead imminently has now been delayed until after the royal visit.

Such a flight could cause tensions between London and Jamaica, with the island’s top diplomat in the UK commenting that he was ‘deeply concerned’ about the November deportation flight which planned to send back convicts who came here as children.

Last year, Jamaica’s opposition leader and equalities campaigners called for the Queen to be removed as the nation’s head of state while it prepared to lobby Britain for slavery reparations.

William and Catherine will do a 12-day tour of the Bahamas, Jamaica and Belize to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

A spokesman for the Home Office refuses to say when the next deportation flight is scheduled to take place, explaining: ‘We do not comment on operational matters.’ However, the spokesman insists that ‘removal flights do not operate on a fixed pattern and to suggest otherwise is misleading’.

Maintaining a long-distance relationship with her British boyfriend, the Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid, 45, is proving technically tricky for Friends star Courteney Cox.

‘It is challenging,’ admits the American, 57, who’s based in California with her daughter, Coco, 17.

‘He lives in London and I live here. We spend a lot of time on FaceTime but I have the worst internet in the world.

‘He’s so technological and I’m not — I don’t know how to fix anything. And that seems to be our biggest conflict: our FaceTimes.’

Diamonds are forever for Mrs Norton-to-be

After I revealed last week that Happy Valley star James Norton had popped the question to actress Imogen Poots, she has been showing off her sparkler.

Making their first public appearance since the disclosure of their secret engagement, the couple attended a London Fashion Week show where the large diamond ring attracted almost as much comment as their quirky outfits.

Norton, 36, who is tipped to be the next James Bond, sported a bushy beard, trendy 1980s-style specs and a denim coat.

Poots, 32, looked like she’d turned up in a pair of pyjamas, but in fact was wearing a £350 striped cotton ‘Rosa’ shirt with matching trousers by South Korean fashion designer Rejina Pyo.

Jeremy Clarkson is clearly gearing up for life in . . . the slow lane.

I hear The Grand Tour presenter, 61, has submitted plans to West Oxfordshire District Council to build a track for tractors at his £4.25 million 400-hectare Cotswolds smallholding (featured in the Amazon Prime show, Clarkson’s Farm).

The petrolhead, who’s more used to racing supercars at breakneck speeds, wants it to stop machinery having to use a public road and making tricky turns.

And in a boost to his eco credentials, it will also take farm traffic off the 60mph road and cut his carbon footprint.

He needs permission for the 10ft-wide track because his farm is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

One is a Hollywood star while the other is a pop princess, but Leonardo DiCaprio and Rihanna had to accept second billing at the wedding of Vogue editor Edward Enninful and film‑maker Alec Maxwell at Longleat House yesterday.

While supermodel Naomi Campbell was among those invited to the afternoon marriage ceremony in the Orangery on the Wiltshire estate, I hear DiCaprio and Rihanna had to make do with the evening reception.

‘There wasn’t room for everyone at the ceremony,’ one of the guests tells me.

This lady of London longs to be a mum again

Having married her toyboy, Caroline Stanbury is determined to have his children.

The 45-year-old socialite ex of Prince Andrew — who married former footballer Sergio Carrallo, 27, last November — has revealed she’s undergoing IVF treatment.

During a visit to a health spa in Austria, the Ladies Of London star says: ‘I can’t tell you how life-changing and recharging this is after a wedding, moving house, family Christmas and IVF. We needed to rebalance our bodies.’

Stanbury, who has three children with first husband Cem Habib, discloses that she has frozen her eggs.
