Edwina Bartholomew’s return to Sunrise is hijacked by her screaming two-month-old son Thomas: ‘He’s about to crack it’

Edwina Bartholomew’s return to Sunrise on Friday was an eventful one, with the mother-of-two having to contend with her screaming baby.

The 38-year-old news presenter appeared on her Channel Seven breakfast TV show just two months after welcoming her son, Thomas.

But things got off to a bad start almost immediately after host David Koch asked her how she was finding motherhood.

‘He’s about to crack it, Kochie!’ responded an overwhelmed Edwina as Thomas began to scream.

In between settling Thomas and talking to Sunrise live on air, Edwina also attempted to keep a watchful eye on her daughter, Molly, two, who was playing nearby.

‘It’s so universal, this delightful experience. You know, just the joy of the sound, plus her, plus the dog, just really resonates in everyone’s ears…’ she joked.

As she grappled with the chaotic situation, Edwina’s colleagues all began to laugh hysterically, and she added: ‘It’s a lovely way to wake up.’

In a post on Instagram Stories on Thursday, Edwina admitted she was feeling nervous about her upcoming appearance on Sunrise.

Sharing a photo of Molly calmly looking over a sleeping Thomas, she wrote: ‘Let’s hope it’s as angelic as this… @sunriseon7’.
