Fumero, 39, starred on hit comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine which had its finale in September 2021 after eight seasons. Both hosts are set to appear in Netflix’s upcoming comedy series Blockbuster alongside Randall Park.
No doubt this will be a very interesting year for the nominees as it is the first under a major realignment of the Primetime and Daytime Emmy Awards, where the two ceremonies’ scopes will now revolve more around factors such as the themes, format, and style characteristics, instead of strictly dayparts which is a response to the growth of streaming television.
Television’s biggest night will honor American prime time television programming from June 1, 2021, until May 31, 2022, as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS).
A host and venue are still yet to be announced.
The 2022 Emmy Awards will air live at 8pm EST/5pm PST on Monday, September 12 on NBC in addition to being streamed live on Peacock.
Prior to the televised ceremony, the e Creative Arts Emmys will take place over two nights, on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4 with an edited version later airing on FXX on Saturday, September 10.
