Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead made their first public appearance since tying the knot last month, at the Star Wars Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on Thursday.
At the event, a number of the franchise’s projects were showcased to fans on hand, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Mandalorian, Andor, Willow, Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew.
McGregor, 51, who stars in the titular role in the upcoming mini-series Obi-Wan Kenobi, was initially seen in a black jacket over a black button-up top with black pants.

Winstead, 37, was seen in a black coat over a white button-up top with black slacks at the event. She will be seen in the mini-series Ahsoka, which is slated to premiere next year, executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni said at the event.
McGregor told Entertainment Tonight of Winstead’s new role, ‘We thought it was amazing to both be in this world together.
‘She doesn’t need any advice from me, but it was kind of cool that when it came up and she was starting to think about it … it’s something that will [always] be with us. It’s not something that ever goes away.’
McGregor, who first played the famed Jedi character in 1999’s Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, said at the event: ‘Now that she’s also in this world where we’ll be able to do this kind of thing together, it should be amazing.’

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said producers ‘couldn’t be more excited to have the two of them involved in Star Wars.’
She noted that Winstead ‘doesn’t have the firsthand experience that [McGregor] does, but he was the one saying, “Mary, you’ve got to do this. You’re going to have a blast.” And I think she will.’
The couple exchanged vows late last month in ‘a small wedding for family and close friends,’ a source told People. ‘They had an outdoor ceremony. It was lovely and joyful.’

Elsewhere Thursday, Harrison Ford made a surprise appearance ahead of next year’s Indiana Jones film. The Hollywood icon, 79, made a cameo amid a presentation from Lucasfilm where he spoke about the fifth installment in the Indiana Jones series.
The Oscar-nominated actor, famed for playing Han Solo in the Star Wars films, made an entrance when famed composer and conductor John Williams led an orchestra in playing the theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Ford told fans, ‘It’s a special honor for me to be able to congratulate John on his 90th birthday. I told John on another occasion when we had a chance to be together that that music follows me everywhere I go.
‘And you know what? I’m happy about it. That music was playing on the speakers of the operating room when I had my last colonoscopy … I passed.’

‘I’m really proud of the movie that we made,’ Ford said. ‘So, I’ll be seeing you around campus.’

Thursday’s event was the convention’s first in-person gathering since 2019, as the venue was filled with Star Wars fans donning costumes of popular characters in the franchise.

The forthcoming Indiana Jones movie is slated to arrive in theaters on June 30, 2023.
