Fans express concern for Katie Price's disabled son Harvey as she takes him to nightclub

Fans have expressed concern for Katie Price’s disabled son Harvey after the reality TV star took him to a nightclub meet-and-greet.

The former glamour model, 43, took Harvey – who has Prader-Willi Syndrome, diabetes and autism – to appear at The Acapulco Club in Halifax on Friday.

Katie admitted that it was Harvey’s first time in a nightclub as they charged £10 for meet-and-greet tickets at the event, which reportedly saw Katie rake in £6,000.

But people took to Twitter to express their concern for Harvey’s wellbeing in the loud environment and some accused Katie of ‘exploiting’ her 19-year-old son through the paid appearance.

One person wrote: ‘Anyone else think that Katie Price taking Harvey to a night club to make an appearance is a bit absurd?

Another commented: ‘Harvey’s only going to be there because she wouldn’t be booked on her own. She’s exploiting him again.’

And a third said: ‘Why the f**k has Katie Price taken Harvey to a meet and greet at a nightclub?’

A fourth tweeted: ‘Katie Price treats Harvey like a circus act idc what anyone says.’

It comes after a source criticised Katie for being ‘irresponsible’ for taking Harvey, who has complex medical and behavioural conditions, to a nightclub.

The source told OK! Magazine: ‘She’ll [Katie] have to be on the edge of her seat the whole night, as you just don’t know how he’s going to react with loud noises, doors banging, a lot of people, talking and lots of flashes and cameras.’

Katie, who has made numerous appearances at Acapulco, reportedly raked in earnings of £6,000 for the event, which will be put into a bank account for Harvey.

A source told The Sun: ‘Katie normally charges more but she’s agreed to appear for £6k as she’s keen for Harvey to make his own money.

‘It’ll all go into his bank account for when he’s older.

‘It’s £10 for a meet and greet so the club can pay her fee easily – people will be queuing up to meet them!’

MailOnline has approached Katie’s representatives for comment.

On Friday, Harvey was seen posing with his arms around groups of girls during the meet-and-greet appearance.

The former glamour model and her son appeared at the nightclub from 9.30pm, with fans being charged £10 for meet-and-greet tickets.

Harvey was joined at his table by several groups of girls, where he enjoyed his favourite drink – Robinson’s squash.

In another snap, he was seen with two fans who sported t-shirts with his Harvey’s iconic words ‘What a day!’

Harvey and Katie looked shocked as one girl had a wardrobe malfunction and had to cover her bust with one hand.

Katie – who shares Harvey with retired footballer Dwight Yorke – cut a casual figure in black leggings and a grey T-shirt for the event, which she teamed with a pair of £450 pink heeled Crocs.

She wore her golden tresses loosely in a straight fashion and accentuated her features with dramatic false eyelashes.

The mother-of-five held hands with her son Harvey as they arrived at the nightclub for the meet-and-greet.

They were joined at the club night by Katie’s fiancé Carl Woods, who donned a long-sleeved fitted T-shirt and black distressed jeans for the outing.

It comes after the former Love Island contestant insisted he and Katie ‘never split up’ and that their relationship is stronger than ever.

He played down reports the pair had gone their separate ways last month after Katie allegedly cheated by sending ‘flirty’ messages to her ex-fiancé Kris Boyson, 33, from her daughter’s Instagram profile.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Carl said: ‘There was speculation but I can tell you that neither Katie nor me ever said that we weren’t together.

‘I love Katie, I think the world of her, I have always been in a happy relationship with Katie. I am currently on my way to Katie’s house so I am happy, I think the world of Katie, I really, really do. She has a heart of gold and I am in a happy relationship with her.

‘It has been a rollercoaster but she’s a lovely woman, she really is, she’s given a hard time.’

Ahead of the club night, Katie said it was the first time Harvey – who has a range of complex medical and behavioural conditions including autism – had stepped foot in a club.
