Lauryn Goodman has revealed how her ‘motherly instinct kicked in’ when she fearlessly stepped in to save a baby’s life during a trip to Hever Castle in Kent earlier this month.

The reality TV star was enjoying a visit to the tourist attraction with her son, Kairo, 21 months, when she witnessed the horrifying incident.

Whilst Lauryn was taking in the winter scenery she spotted a baby in a pram hurtle down the hill towards a lake as the father turned his back for a second.

The child’s parents had not noticed the pram roll away as they were distracted by the funfair attractions.

Lauryn screamed to alert the baby’s parents as she ran towards the buggy that had plummeted into the water below.

When contacted by MailOnline for comment Lauryn said: ‘My motherly instinct just kicked in, everything happened in slow motion. It was horrible. I’m just so thankful I saw her in time, grateful she’s okay.’

Sharing some photos of her day out, at the time, she cryptically penned: ‘They say you’re always meant to be in certain places, for a certain time, for a reason. This day was exactly that.’

Speaking to the Mirror, an onlooker detailed Lauryn’s selfless act as they described the moment that she was about to jump into the water when the baby’s father took the plunge himself.

They said: ‘She took all of Kairo’s clean clothes and nappy to change the baby as the parents were in shock. Lauryn didn’t hesitate to give over all she had.

‘The parents were so grateful for the clothes. The baby was soaking. She saved the baby’s life.’

The witness added that luckily, the baby was fine: ‘The parents took the baby to the hospital, as she needed to be checked medically. The baby is safe and fine now.’

In photos taken before the day took a frightening turn, Lauryn can be seen with her son by the lake as she enjoyed a hot drink.

In another adorable snap, she gives Kairo a sweet kiss on the cheek as they take in the scenic views of the castles grounds.

Lauryn welcomed son Kairo with former flame, and England footballer, Kyle Walker, 31, in April 2020.

He conceived the youngster while involved in a short relationship with Lauryn during a temporary split from his longtime girlfriend, Annie Kilner.
