The first quake hit southern Iran, which had a magnitude of 6.1, in the early hours of Saturday morning.Â
Two later quakes, one with a magnitude of up to 6.3 followed, state media reported.
At least 24 tremors from the events were reported after the 2 am local time huge quake caused destruction to the village Sayeh Khosh, which lies close to Iran’s Gulf coast in the Hormozgan province.
