Furlough rules: Can you claim furlough for holiday pay?


Furlough rates also don’t apply to holidays, Prospect said.

Under the scheme’s rules, employers should pay time taken off during furlough with usual working rates.

The requirement means people should have 100 percent of their pay, rather than the 80 percent offered on the scheme.

Prospect said this applies “even if that means your employer has to top up the CJRS grant they receive from the government.”
