Kat Von D lists her home complete with pool filled with RED WATER for $15 million

Kat Von D has listed her luxuriously gothic Hancock Park home for $15 million as she prepares to start a new life in Indiana.

The 39-year-old purchased the home in 2016 for $6.5 million and has restored it with the addition of a hidden bar, library and seven fireplaces, according to TMZ.

Of all the unique amenities, however, all anyone will be able to talk about is the wild red pool located in her backyard.

The 13 bedroom home was made famous in the 2003 film Cheaper By The Dozen as the house Steve Martin and his family settled into.

Nowadays, the home looks nothing like it did in the family friendly film.

The exterior of the property has been painted a deep burgundy shade, and statues have been erected poolside.

The Victorian property features resplendent rooms anchored in dark hardwood floors, indented walls, and elegant chandeliers hanging from the gold tint ceilings.

The kitchen is just as jaw-dropping with intricate carvings hovering above the stove, a massive island counter, and candle style chandelier.

Several of the rooms are dripping in gold with metallic touches embedded into the walls, giving the space a royal energy.

A few of the rooms resembled an actual palace with gold infused into mint green walls and a beautifully painted ceiling.

Even the bathrooms were breathtaking with sleek tile floors, an opulent bath tub, and of course plenty of gold.

All of the bedrooms had their own distinct personalities.

Perhaps Kat was inspired by the anthology series Hammer House Of Horror, which explored a different supernatural story in each episode.

Last year Kat announced she would be closing her tattoo parlor High Voltage after purchasing a mansion in Vevey, Indiana.

‘As some of you know, we recently purchased a beautiful home on a bit of land in rural Indiana, and the more time we spend out there we realize we feel more at home there than we do here in LA,’ said the LA Ink personality, who shares son Leafar with husband Rafael Reyes, announced on Instagram.

‘After much thought, we have decided we will permanently be moving to Indiana at the end of this year,’ she said. ‘We plan on selling our beautiful home here, and I will most likely open a private studio in Indiana once we are done with the house remodel there.’

Kat said she was planning on closing her ‘beloved tattoo shop’ December 1 in the wake of the move.

‘I didn’t think it would make sense to keep it open if I wasn’t present,’ she said, ‘and aside from coming back to work on music with my band, we don’t plan on returning to LA very often.’

Kat noted that the shop will remain taking appointments through next month, adding, ‘I also strongly suggest following my talented fellow artists to see where they end up going in their journey!’

Kat initially opened the tattoo shop in 2007 after appearing on the TLC reality show Miami Ink.

The star announced the purchase of her Indiana home in late 2020, writing: ”With all that has been taking place in California, with terrible policies, tyrannical government overreach, ridiculous taxing, amongst so many more corruption, we just felt the need to plant roots in a small town where there is nature, where my son can be free to play, and where we can eventually retire one day.’
