Kate and William’s children inherit new titles as Charles becomes King after Queen’s death

William’s grandmother, Her Majesty the Queen, passed away peacefully at Balmoral Palace in Scotland on Thursday afternoon. With the death of Her Majesty, Prince Charles has become King Charles III and therefore, the titles of the family members will go through a change.

The Cambridge children – Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte have become Prince George of Cornwall and Cambridge, Princess Charlotte of Cornwall and Cambridge, and Prince Louis of Cornwall and Cambridge.

However, William and Kate won’t be losing their Duke and Duchess of Cambridge titles – these new titles will be additions.

This means they are now styled the TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge.

On Thursday, Prince William paid a visit to Balmoral while Kate stayed at Windsor.

Their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis attended their first day of school on Thursday at Lambrook School in Windsor.

As King Charles’ eldest son, William now becomes the heir apparent as first in line to the throne.

The children will eventually become “of Wales” once their father Prince William is the Prince of Wales.

George is now second in line to the throne, Charlotte third, and Louis fourth, with Harry fifth in line.
