Katya Jones wraps up warm in a chic wool coat and quirky mirrored sunglasses

Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Katya Jones wrapped up warm in chilly Manchester on Wednesday as she left the BBC studios. 

The dancer made her way out onto the street after filming her new workout session on BBC One’s Morning Live. 

Keeping out the cold the 32-year-old wore a chic slate wool coat, turning up the collar in a bid to stay warm.

Despite the cold weather, Katya wore a pair of quirky circular sunglasses, with mirrored lenses as well as a baseball cap emblazoned with the word ‘Roar’.

Her long raven hair fashioned in a bun, the Strictly winner wore a pair of neon orange running trainers. 

The Russian dancer sported a glamorous palette of make-up for her TV appearance with glowing skin and a glossy rose lip.

She carried her belongings in a chic black patent leather back pack with buckle detail. 

Just about visible under her coat was Katya’s workout gear which she wore earlier to lead hosts AJ Odudu, 34, and Gethin Jones, 44, in a dance themed work out.

Katya was spotted later enjoying a walk with her friend, Olympic snowboarder Aimee Fuller, 30.

Aimee, who wore a striking tangerine houndstooth coat, chatted away to her friend as the pair made their way through the city.

The appearance comes after she rubbished claims that tensions arose on Strictly over whether Russian dancers should appear after Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Russian dancer, spoke out as the 2022 show line-up was announced last week, after claims surfaced that the show’s professionals were divided on the continued participation of Katya and Luba Mushtuk, 32.

Katya and Luba were both born in the country’s city of Saint Petersburg, while dancers Nikita Kuzmin, 24, and Nadiya Bychkova, 32, are of Ukrainian descent.

Katya said: ‘This is total nonsense, we’re so supportive of each other always. The invasion is totally wrong, it shouldn’t be happening.

‘We’ve been in regular touch with Nikita. He’s been very proactive. I find it so upsetting to see what they’re going through. Within our group there’s nothing but support.’

The show’s 2022 line-up sees Katya and Luba return alongside Nikita and Nadiya.
