Lisa Vanderpump has 'pearls of wisdom' for Tom, Katie and Lala as she opens the Vanderpump à Paris

Lisa Vanderpump and husband Ken Todd just opened their 36th restaurant at the Paris Las Vegas – overcoming a bout with COVID, a missing truck full of furniture and Lisa’s shattered leg.

Despite the hurdles, the Bravo mogul pulled out all the stops for the grand opening of the Vanderpump à Paris – her most romantic and spectacular venue yet – and exclusively chatted with DailyMailTV during tasting of the sumptuous new menu.

Between sips of a pillowy French poodle inspired cocktail, Lisa revealed that she’s had a hard time staying out of the ‘sad situations’ going down with some of her Vanderpump Rules cast like Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney and Lala Kent – all of whom recently ended long time relationships.

‘There are a lot [of] complications, as usual, going on in this group and sad situations,’ Lisa said. ‘We’ve seen the demise of a few relationships.’

Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney announced last month that they were pulling the plug on their marriage, effectively ending a 12-year relationship. Additionally, after welcoming their first child together, Lala Kent ended things with Randall Emmett in a messy split.

‘I’ve been married 39 years so I have a modicum of experience that maybe they don’t – or modicum of tolerance, one might say, when it comes to relationships,’ LVP explained, adding that she typically tries her best to stay far away from the staff drama but sometimes it proves impossible.

‘Of course, I can impart some kind of pearls of wisdom,’ she continued. ‘Whether they choose to listen or not is another matter.’

Tom and Katie seem to be taking the end of their marriage in stride and had nothing but kind words for one another when interviewed by DailyMail.com on the red carpet.

Between the staff’s relationship woes and some personal ups and downs like breaking her leg in four places after a horseback riding incident, Lisa, Ken and design partner Nick Alain still managed to pull off an over-the-top grand opening.

‘Everything in here is bespoke, it’s all curated and you can’t replicate anything in here,’ Lisa said. ‘It’s unique and I think that’s what we wanted to bring with the food and drink as well. We wanted something that was decadent, we wanted something that was visual.’

Every inch of the opulent interior was carefully crafted by Lisa and Nick who worked for months on the vision for the space. Diners feel a world away from the Vegas strip as they are ensconced plush velvet banquettes with embellished throw pillows under the soft light of custom fixtures and chandeliers.

The romantic and glitzy Vanderpump à Paris brings European charm to the middle of the desert with cocktails, dishes and designs all inspired by the City of Lights.

‘To me, you really eat with your eyes so everything has to be beautiful but, obviously, it has to taste good,’ Vanderpump said, adding with a laugh: ‘This is our 30-something restaurant, if we don’t know what we’re doing by now something is wrong.’

LVP calls the food and drink at her French-meets-Vegas eatery ‘Instagramable’, which is by no means an understatement. The menu itself is designed to resemble a vintage Parisian newspaper and lays out the delicious and visually stunning options to choose from.

A server opens the case to release a dramatic puff of aromatic smoke revealing a ruby hued cocktail on a bed of rose petals in a crystal glass. The drink itself, a prickly pear mezcal margarita, is as delicious as it looks.

There is also the just-for-two LoveLocked cocktail, which features a padlock and a key so couples can write their initials and lock it on a wall in the restaurant.

‘Everything in here is bespoke everything is made in the Vanderpump factory – every chair, every table, every railing,’ Lisa explained. ‘We have a vision and we just brought it to life. I think it really is the most romantic restaurant in Vegas for sure.’

Getting the doors open, however, was not without challenges. In January, Lisa exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com that a truck full of custom décor headed to Vanderpump à Paris mysteriously disappeared en route.

The Vanderpump Rules matriarch and her design partner, Nick Alain were left absolutely ‘mystified’ when the delivery truck driver ‘ghosted’ them for five days. Luckily the items eventually made their way to Las Vegas.

The new establishment follows the restauranteur’s immensely successful Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace. And, Lisa will be in good company too as Martha Stewart is set to open The Bedford by Martha Stewart, also inside Paris in the Summer of 2022.
