Liverpool's Sadio Mane scores worldie at AFCON just minutes after being 'knocked out'

Liverpool star Sadio Mane was involved in a worrying head collision with Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha during Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations last 16 clash on Tuesday. However, Mane stayed on the field and opened the scoring with a sensational strike just minutes later.

Senegal and Cape Verde were playing out a tense last 16 tie, with the latter already down to 10 men.

But Vozinho was dismissed for a last-man challenge to prevent Mane from going through on goal in the 57th minute.

Mane tried heading the ball past the stopper, who crashed into him in mid-air on the edge of the box.

Vozinho was carried off on a stretcher in the aftermath, but the Senegal forward questionably continued playing.
