Lizzo reps her shapewear brand in Yitty outfit beneath glossy pink coat in NYC ahead of SNL gig

Three-time Grammy winner Lizzo repped her upcoming shapewear brand Yitty on her way into NBC Studios in Midtown Manhattan on Monday morning.

The 33-year-old rapper-singer-flautist wore the black ‘Mesh Me’ bodysuit and ‘Major Label’ leggings beneath a glossy pink coat with faux fur trim and floral slides selected by stylist Jason Rembert.

Lizzo (born Melissa Jefferson) was holding hands with a black-clad mystery man who, like her, was wearing a disposable face mask.

However, the Watch Out for the Big Grrrls producer-star’s companion could easily have been her bodyguard.

Lizzo got glam ahead of her appearance on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna with help from hairstylist Shelby Swain, make-up artist Alex Mayo, and nail artist Eri Ishizu.

The Rumors hitmaker then confessed to Carson Daly and Jenna Bush Hager how nervous she was about pulling double duty hosting and serving as musical guest in the next episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

‘I was scared but I was also flattered that they think that I’m capable of doing that, like being funny, doing music. Here we go!’ Lizzo shrugged.

‘I want to do something with puppies! You know how they’ll have puppies and kitties and uncontrollable situations? Like, I wanna be with some puppies and kitties.’

The Cuz I Love You songstress previously served as musical guest on the December 21, 2019 episode of the sketch series hosted by the legendary Eddie Murphy, which she called ‘iconic.’

SNL veteran Molly Shannon (1995–2001) was also in the studio and she shared sage advice with Lizzo before the segment.

‘She said, “Have fun and just do the jokes. They’re writing all the jokes for you so just have fun,”‘ the Truth Hurts singer smiled.

Lizzo previously expressed her anxiety in a TikTok video from her New York City hotel’s bubble bath.

‘Guys I’m finally in NYC to perform and host SNL,’ the Proud Family guest star – who boasts 39.3M social media followers – captioned her post.

‘This is single-handedly the most iconic and terrifying thing I’ve ever done. Wish me luck. Love y’all and see you Saturday!’

It is indeed ‘the biggest week of all time’ for the University of Houston drop-out whose shapewear line officially launches this Tuesday at 8am PST.

Yitty – a childhood name of Lizzo’s – is a subsidiary of Kate Hudson’s athleisure company Fabletics, and it will carry sizes ranging from XS to 6X and cost between $14.95 and $69.95.

Yitty claims that 65% of its pieces are made with recycled fibers, and 100% of the packaging is recycled.

The brand will be divided into three different categories – ‘Nearly Naked’ (seamless), ‘Mesh Me’ (mesh-based), and ‘Major Label’ (traditional pieces).

And if that’s not enough, Lizzo will drop her fourth studio album this Thursday including her new single About Damn Time that she previewed on the March 21st episode of CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Corden.
