She’s one of Channel Nine’s golden girls.

The body-hugging backless number featured glitzy jewels on the shoulder straps, which matched Sylvia’s drop earrings.

She added a classic twist to her outfit by donning sheer black opera gloves, over which she wore several rings and bracelets.

Sylvia styled her shoulder-length blonde hair in Hollywood waves and opted for a glamorous palette of makeup.

It comes after Sylvia called out her brother-in-law Karl Stefanovic live on air after he hijacked a Channel Nine executive’s farewell segment.

James Birtles signed off as executive producer of the Today show on Friday. He is leaving the network to take on a new role at Sky News Australia.

Karl, 47, and his co-anchor Allison Langdon went to the control room to give Birtles a proper send-off in the closing moments of the show at 9:10am.

But the TV larrikin couldn’t resist making the segment all about himself by urging viewers to vote for him to win the Gold Logie.

He then threw over to Today Extra, which was being hosted by Sylvia, the wife of his brother Peter Stefanovic, and guest presenter Tom Tilley.

‘Much love to James Birtles, who I’m sure will not miss Karl and all the reasons that he has lost his hair over the years,’ Sylvia said.

‘And only Karl can make that segment about himself, as well,’ she added as the Today Extra crew laughed in the background.

Weekend Today’s executive producer Kendall Bora is stepping up to helm the weekday edition of Today following Birtles’ exit.

Ms Bora is coincidentally the wife of Weekend Sunrise presenter Matt Doran.

This isn’t the only behind-the-scenes change at the Today show, with supervising producer Lesa De Re also going on maternity leave.

Senior producer Michael Kersnovske will fill in while Ms De Re is away.

Steve Burling, who remains Director of Morning Television at Nine, made the staff announcements last month.
