Jack Keating entered Love Island’s Casa Amor villa alongside five other singletons just last week.
But he wasn’t the only of Ronan Keating’s children to be approached by the dating show, as bosses originally wanted his sister, Missy, to take to the famous villa.
The 21-year-old admitted back in 2020 that she was approached by the show, with rumours resurfacing earlier this year that she could’ve been set for Mallorca.
Could’ve been to Casa! Love Island bosses approached Ronan Keating’s daughter Missy, 21, to appear on the show before her brother Jack entered Casa Amor
As Casa Amor draws to a close, it seems that it may be bad news for Jack – who hasn’t appeared to make a connection with any of the six girls.
But things could’ve looked very different, as Missy shared in 2020 that she was approached by producers to appear on the show – but admitted it’s ‘not really a show for me’.
Speaking to the Irish Mail On Sunday at the time, she explained: ‘Last year when I was in London they did contact me but I was in a relationship so it was a no, I don’t know where the whole thing came from this year.

‘Not for me’: Missy shared in 2020 that she was approached by producers to appear on the show – but admitted it’s ‘not really a show for me’ (pictured with dad Ronan earlier this year)
‘It was never on the cards and probably never will. Love Island is not really a show for me, maybe other shows but no, I’m a taken lady.’
But this year, it appeared a newly single Missy could’ve been heading for the villa, with Ronan even admitting ‘you never know’.
Talking on Good Morning Britain back in May, the former Boyzone singer admitted he ‘wouldn’t be able to watch’ if Missy was on Love Island, when questioned by Ben Shephard.

Taken: Back in 2020, Missy had a boyfriend and descirbed herself as a ‘taken lady’, explaining: ‘It [Love Island] was never on the cards and probably never will. Love Island is not really a show for me, maybe other shows but no, I’m a taken lady’
As the presenter asked about truth in the rumours, Ronan replied: ‘I haven’t heard anything but you never know, these kids are busy. All my kids they’re all busy doing different things, I haven’t heard anything myself at the moment.’
‘Yeah I don’t know how I feel about that one. I wouldn’t be able to watch,’ he admitted.
But while he may not have been sure about Missy heading into the villa, the singer appeared overjoyed as Jack made his way in – taking to social media to explain how ‘excited’ and ‘proud’ he was of the 23-year-old.
Heading on the show alongside Deji Adeniyi, Josh Samuel Le Grove, George Tasker, Samuel Agbiji and Billy Brown – Jack was tasked with the difficult job of turning one girl’s head enough to be brought back into the main villa.

And as Thursday evening’s recoupling looms, it appears the Social Media Marketing Worker could be headed home.
Following his son’s first episode, it seemed Ronan’s initial excitement had turned to nerves – describing himself as an ‘absolute mess’.
During an appearance on The One Show, the singer said: ‘We all miss him in the house, we really do. His little brother Cooper and his little sister Coco and Missy, we all miss him.
‘His episode last night, he was very quiet, he seemed a little bit nervous, which is understandable, I guess.’
Continuing: ‘I wish him the best. I hope he does OK. He’s got such a big heart and he’s a real softie so I’m just worried about him in there with all those other guys.’
