Manchester City player Phil Foden 'sparks police complaint after Mother's Day "music festival"'

England player Phil Foden has reportedly sparked noise complaints to police after having a Mother’s Day ‘music festival’ at his £2.85million Cheshire mansion where he blasted out Whitney Houston hits.

The Manchester City midfielder, 21, held special celebrations on Sunday for his parent Claire, 41, but it is claimed things got ‘out of hand’ when the tunes moved from the likes of Whitney’s ballad Greatest Love of All to dance music and an MC set.

Neighbour Maureen Bye, 81, told The Sun: ‘It was dreadful. All you could hear was the “boom, boom, boom” of the music. I don’t mind a party but not all day.

‘It started about midday or 1pm and lasted till just before ten. One of our neighbours went to complain and was told, “It’s not late and it’s not loud”, and then she was ushered away.’

Another neighbour said: ‘It was pretty loud and went on for ages — but then it started to get out of hand.’

One resident wrote on a community Facebook page: ‘Thinking of all my neighbours tonight — Happy Mother’s Day. I have been and asked for the music to be turned down. Don’t get your hopes up.’
