Feeling the heat: MasterChef star and model Sarah Todd says she’s feeling pressure ahead of Grand Final week after fan Julie Goodwin’s shock exit
It was last month reported that after shelving her ambitions to become a dancer, Mirabelle would joining the family business.
Fiery chef Marco in November told Richard Eden that the young star owns a hotel in Bath that would open in two years.
‘I told her to enjoy the staff but don’t get too close to them because they take advantage,’ he had said.
Doubts: The former model, who first competed in the sixth season of the show, said even her 11-year-old son Phoenix questioned if she could ‘really do it’ ahead of her return to the show
It comes as this season of MasterChef Australia – which Marco is currently in – is full of surprises, including the shock exit of Julie Goodwin on Tuesday night.
And remaining fan favourite Sarah Todd is certainly feeling the heat in the kitchen.
The former model, who first competed in the sixth season of the show, said even her 11-year-old son Phoenix questioned if she could ‘really do it’ ahead of her return to the show.
Phoenix was just two when former model Sarah first competed on MasterChef in 2014, finishing ninth overall.
Legacy: Despite the shock early elimination, Sarah (pictured with Marco Pierre White) became one of the most successful alumni from the show
Despite the shock early elimination, she became one of the most successful alumni from the show, opening two restaurants in India and starring in two TV shows – My Restaurant In India and My Second Restaurant In India – which followed her opening up eateries in Goa and Mumbai respectively.
‘He (Phoenix) plays it all down so I don’t know if he thinks it’s cool (I am on the show) or whether it’s embarrassing. But it is amazing to see where he is with his mind,’ she told Courier Mail .
‘When MasterChef asked me to come back, I sat him down and asked “what do you think? Obviously it would be tough, I won’t see you as much but every weekend we would be together.”
‘He was like “If I was you, I would do it, but you have to do what makes you happy”.’
