Married At First Sight Australia 2022 set to air in UK with dramatic return to E4

Married At First Sight Australia is set to return to the UK later this month just weeks after the 2022 season premiered Down Under.

In a bid to find long-lasting love, a new group of singles will put their romantic lives in the hands of relationship experts Mel Schilling, 50, John Aiken, 51, and Alessandra Rampolla, 47, with a trailer being released on Wednesday.

The new series will kick off with a bucks night for the boys and a hen night for the girls, with the couples then saying ‘I do’ after meeting each other for the very first time at their wedding ceremony.

This year the pairs will live under one roof with their relationships being put to the test as time goes on.

Series nine of the Australian version of the show will see the home stays week return, as well as Alessandra’s intimacy week, confessions week and the couples retreat, which will see the brides and grooms go away together.

The stars of the show will attend the familiar and sometimes raucous dinner parties and their secrets will be revealed and bombshells will be dropped at the commitment ceremonies with the experts.

Karl Warner, Head of Youth and Digital at E4 said: ‘We’ve now caught up with the Australian broadcast schedule so we can be as close to the action as possible.

‘Married at First Sight Australia is the show everyone was talking about in 2021 and I’ve no doubt it’ll be just as addictive in 2022.’

Contestants Tamara Djordjevic, Selin Mengu and Domenica Calarco are three names fans won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Most notably, Mitchell Eynaud was in a relationship with former Love Island Australia star Edyn ‘Mac’ Mackney.

The pair are understood to have dated for several months in 2013 before deciding they were better off as friends.

‘We dated many moons ago, we were much younger,’ Edyn, who also hails from the Gold Coast, told Daily Mail Australia.

Ella Ding is understood to be close friends with MAFS Australia alumni Sam Carraro and Michael Brunelli, and follows both on Instagram.
