Michael Imperioli looks unrecognisable as he sports a new look as lead singer for his band Zopa

The Sopranos’ Michael Imperioli, 56, looks world apart from his gangster character as he poses for a snap as lead singer for indie rock band Zopa

He’s known for his role as Christopher Moltisanti in New Jersey mob drama The Sopranos.

But Michael Imperioli looks a far cry from playing his young mafia gangster character, as he focuses on his indie-rock band, Zopa.

The 56-year-old was almost unrecognisable as he posted a snap to Instagram donning a merchandise T-shirt for the band.

The T-shirt had Zopa written in red and a graphic of a woman’s face, alongside the words Red Sky, an ode to the band’s new single and it’s cover.

Michael also donned a pair of sunglasses and a wooden beaded necklace, with his full silver locks styled upwards.

The actor fronts Zopa as lead singer, while other members Elijah Amitin is on bass and Olmo Tighe performs drums.

Zopa released their debut album, La Dolce Vita, in 2020, but Red Sky is the first since then.

While he seems to be focusing on the band at the moment, Michael is also set to star in Season two of Sky’s The White Lotus.
