State of Origin and Sydney Roosters captain James Tedesco spends $5million on a stunning five-bedroom home in Hunters Hill

NRL champ James Tedesco has splashed out $5million on a sprawling home in Sydney’s Hunters Hill.

The NSW Blues and Roosters captain bought the five-bedroom, five-bathroom residence with his fiancé Maria Glinellis in June, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Located in one of the most sought-after North Shore postcodes, the ultra-modern resort-style spread last went under the hammer in 2014 for $3.25million.

The 29-year-old State of Origin star bought the home at auction, after it was listed with a price guide of $4.6million.

Built in 2013 on a 655sqm block and designed by architect Phillip Lance, the two-storey property boasts open-plan living spaces and Travertine floors.

The newly renovated, light-filled house features an atrium, pool and home office.

In addition to its well-appointed kitchen inside, there is another cooking area outdoors with a 900mm gas stove.

The spacious downstairs features several living spaces to relax, including a breakfast bar and two separate dinning areas.

The news comes after James, known as ‘Teddy’, proposed to Maria last November.

The Roosters captain has enjoyed an impressive rugby league career since his first season with the Wests Tigers in 2012.

He won the highly prized Dally M Player of the Year Award in 2019.
