NRL commentator and ex-rugby star Allana Ferguson has already returned to work after welcoming her second child with husband Guy McDemott.

On Monday, Allana was seen at Brisbane Airport with her newborn son, Zave, four weeks, and her mother – who assumedly was helping her travel with a baby.

Allana doted on her tiny tot as she made her way through the terminal, carrying Zave in her arms at one point, after returning to Brisbane for her commentating duties.

She pulled her bleached locks back and off her face into a high ponytail and wore a black face mask.

She and husband Guy welcomed Zave just four weeks ago, and are also parents to daughter Parker, three, having welcomed both children through IVF.

In February, Allana opened up about the IVF process and admitted it was worth it, but also grueling.

She told of how her second shot at IVF was much more challenging than the first and she and her husband Guy McDermott had moments where they feared it may not work.

‘Particularly towards the end, we were both sort of questioning a little bit, you know, just trying to be grateful that we had one child and getting our head around maybe not being able to have two,’ she told 9Honey Parenting.

The Nine’s Sunday Footy Show panellist said she was ‘fortunate’ that her first journey through IVF worked almost straight away and saw her welcome daughter Parker in February 2019.

However getting pregnant with baby number two was ‘different’ and more challenging for the couple.

The couple then ‘knuckled down’ and dove back into IVF, vowing to try as many times as it took, and after six months fell pregnant with their second child.

‘The day that it happened and the day that you get that phone call after they’ve put it in and it’s actually worked is just the most special moment,’ she said.
