Padma Lakshmi and her look-alike daughter Krishna, 12, presented a stylish duo as they ran errands in New York City on Saturday.

The model, 51, and her only child enjoyed the sounds, sights and a little shopping in their Soho neighborhood while walking their adorable chihuahua, Davina.

Padma looked chic in a pair of black skinny jeans, black ankle boots, a blue military inspired jacket with arm patches and a marigold scarf.

The Top Chef star wore little makeup, aviator sunglasses, and had her long, dark locks style straight. 

Her sixth-grader looked confident in an oversized workout shirt, with a skort. She completed her outfit with black knee socks and lace-up ankle boots.

The fashionable pair chatted on the sidewalk with actress Susan Sarandon, who was running her own errands while wearing a black jumpsuit and hat with a red jacket around her waist.

The single mom has lived in the Soho area with her daughter since 2010. The Easy Exotic cookbook author shares custody of the girl with former flame Adam Dell. 

When not working on her one of her TV shows or a book, the multi-talented United Nations Goodwill Ambassador keeps busy as an immigration and women’s rights advocate.

The native of Madras, India announced her latest project on social media. It is a fundraiser that seemed to be inspired by the 2014 ice bucket challenge, but instead of dousing oneself with ice water and challenging others to do so, she’s issued a bread baking challenge as a fundraiser for Ukrainian relief.

The Emmy winner donned a red strappy bodycon dress in an Instagram video,  and as she broke a freshly baked loaf of bread issued her own challenge. ‘I am nominating David Chang, Gordon Ripert and Gordon Ramsey to break bread with me for Ukrainian relief and supporting World Central Kitchen because I stand for unity and I stand with the Ukrainian people.  Please donate to World Central Kitchen.’

Followers who want to donate money and inspire others to do so are asked to make their own videos and issue their own challenges. Writing on Instagram the Taste the Nation host said, ‘And you can join the pledge by sharing a video/picture of you breaking bread and nominating 3 people to do the same!’

On May 11, Chefs for Unity will hold a live streaming event in which those who tune in will be able to bake their own bread from scratch while making donations to World Central Kitchen.
