‘We need to be singing from the same hymn sheet. We need to bridge that gap between men and women – otherwise we are on separate journeys,’ she said.

Meanwhile, Beat Again hitmaker Marvin raised the issue of male mental health, remarking: ‘You know, it’s okay to cry. And it’s okay to not be happy about some things.

‘Bottling up those feelings can be such a bad thing, and for some men it can have a really bad impact on women.’

The honest couple, who have been married for almost a decade, also spoke of the progress made in dismantling the patriarchy.

While addressing his wife, Marvin chimed: ‘Awareness is getting better. And it’s great that you’ve spoken about it a lot recently and I’ve seen many other women speaking it – and men speaking about it. It’s important we keep talking about it.’

Rochelle responded: ‘Awareness is there, the mindset just needs to change.’

The couple are parents to Alaia-Mai, eight, Valentina Raine, four and Blake Hampton, 16 months.
