Rose Ayling-Ellis tipped for honour from Her Majesty The Queen, and awarded MBE


‘She is now in the frame’: Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose Ayling-Ellis ‘tipped for an MBE from The Queen’ after raising awareness of the deaf community

Rose Ayling-Ellis is said to be honoured by Her Majesty The Queen and may potentially be awarded an MBE for her hard work in raising awareness for the deaf community. 

The 27 year-old star has become increasingly popular since appearing on Eastenders as Frankie Lewis, and on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021. 

Rose was the first-ever deaf contestant to compete on the popular BBC show. Her presence on the show alone had a huge influence on fans and viewers as many people decided to start learning sign language.

She bagged the glitterball trophy alongside her handsome dancing partner  Giovanni Pernice, 33, in the Strictly Come Dancing finale.

And According to the Mirror, Rose is now said to be named as a recipient of a Member of the Order British Empire in HM, the Queen’s birthday honours list. 

A source said: ‘She is now in the frame for a gong for services to the deaf community, thanks to her ballroom triumph on the BBC’s Strictly. 

‘Her performances – including one with a silent section – sent enrolments for sign-language courses soaring.’

 A source also told the publication ‘Her success on Strictly shone a light on the deaf community in a way that surpassed everyone’s expectations. Not only did she raise awareness about the challenges deaf people face, she was a true inspiration for them – particularly young people. She really did break down boundaries.’ 

It comes after it was revealed that the Monarch is a fan of Rose and the popular Strictly show.

The Strictly star then went on to say that she was ‘mind blown’ at the news of the Royal Family watching her and supporting her during the show. 

The next season of Strictly will be airing in August 2023, with familiar faces such as Craig Revel Horwood, and Anton De Buke returning to the judging panel once again to light up everyone’s TV screens.
