Scott Hall has died at age of 63 … pro wrestling icon gained fame as Razor Ramon and in nWo

Pro wrestling legend Scott Hall died Monday at the age of 63.

WWE confirmed the news Monday afternoon on its website, saying, ‘WWE is saddened to learn that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall has passed away … WWE extends its condolences to Hall’s family, friends and fans.’

Hall had been taken off of life support Monday at a Georgia hospital after suffering three heart attacks following an operation to repair a broken hip, according to veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer.

PW Torch initially broke the news that Hall suffered the heart attacks at Marietta, Georgia’s Wellstar Kennestone Hospital Saturday after a blood clot got loose as he recovered from a hip replacement surgery he underwent last week after breaking his hip earlier this month.

Hall’s confidante Kevin Nash, 62, detailed the situation in an Instagram post Sunday, saying medical officials were slated to ‘discontinue life support’ once Hall’s family was in place amid the health crisis.

‘I’m going to lose the one person on this planet I’ve spent more of my life with than anyone else,’ said Nash, who wrestled in the WWE as Diesel before jumping over to the WCW in 1996 to form the groundbreaking New World Order (nWo) faction with Hall and Hulk Hogan. ‘My heart is broken and I’m so very f***ing sad.

‘I love Scott with all my heart but now I have to prepare my life without him in the present. I’ve been blessed to have a friend that took me at face value and I him.’

Nash wrapped up in saying, ‘As we prepare for life without him just remember there goes a great guy you ain’t going to see another one like him again. See Ya down the road Scott. I couldn’t love a human being any more than I do you.’

Hall initially broke into the pro wrestling business in the 1980s in the NWA’s Florida territory, later getting national exposure in the AWA in a tag team alongside the late Curt ‘Mr. Perfect’ Henning.

His career in the squared circle took off in 1992 when he joined WWE as Razor Ramon, a takeoff on Al Pacino’s character Tony Montana from the film Scarface.

Hall established himself as a top player in the organization with feuds against icons such as the late ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart, the ‘Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase and Shawn Michaels (who he had a ladder match with at Wrestlemania X in 1994 that remains lauded as an all-time classic).

His defection to WCW in 1996 with Nash led the organization to new heights as it battled WWE during a boom period for the industry. He later returned to WWE in 2002 after WCW’s closure in 2001, and was inducted into the organization’s hall of fame twice, as Razor Ramon in 2014 and for his work in the nWo in 2020.

The well-traveled veteran had also wrestled for organizations including ECW, WWC, NJPW and other organizations amid his decades-long career.
