The Block quitter Elle Ferguson faces yet ANOTHER major blow as she's forced to change brand name

The Block quitter Elle Ferguson faces yet ANOTHER major blow as she’s forced to make sudden change to her popular tanning brand

Elle Ferguson has once again faced another blow just weeks after she quit Channel Nine’s The Block.

The 36-year-old influencer was forced to make a sudden business name-change for her tanning line, dropping one ‘L’ from ELLEFFECT to ELEFFECT.

According to the Daily Telegraph, who reached out to Ferguson’s reps, the change was prompted due to ‘trademarking issues in the US re: Elle Magazine’ as the model’s brand is looking to go global.

It comes after speculation that Aussie supermodel Elle Macpherson took issue with the company name.

The abrupt change occurred in recent months, with Ferguson taking to the ELEFFECT website to address her customers.

‘You may have noticed a change to our branding,’ the statement read. ‘However rest assured it’s the same flawless tanning mousse, with a fresh update to our name.’

Ferguson, from Bondi Beach, is the owner of the self tanning company which she started in 2016 after struggling to find a tanning brand she loved.

‘It came from a personal desire to produce a safe, sunless tan that delivered the perfect golden glow,’ she told FEMAIL in June.

Ferguson has faced several blowbacks in recent weeks, notably after she and her partner Joel Patfull, 37, quit The Block within 48 hours of arriving on set.

Ferguson, who labels herself a ‘global digital influencer and entrepreneur’, was also snubbed from an in-depth study by The Oz that ranked Australia’s top 100 influential online creators.

The model whose clients include Dior and Kim Kardashian’s shapewear line Skims, has a whopping 679,000 followers.

Glamour couple Ferguson and Patfull packed up their tools and threw in the towel just two days into production, leaving The Block cast and crew blindsided.

The couple said they were leaving because his mother Trish had fractured her neck during a fall at her home in Adelaide.

But host Scott Cam cast doubt on this, accusing them of fleeing the building site in the middle of the night because the show wasn’t ‘on brand’ for them.

He also said they had complained ‘the toilet paper was too scratchy’.

The fashion influencer and her retired AFL player boyfriend have disputed this, insisting they quit because of a legitimate family emergency.

Scott wasn’t convinced by this explanation however, telling TV Week he hadn’t heard anything about Joel’s mother before the couple’s abrupt exit.

‘Of course, family comes first on The Block – we’ve stopped production before when people have had family emergencies,’ he said.

‘And of course, I wasn’t referring to somebody going to visit their sick mother… It was because they’d given us no reason.’
