The Masked Dancer: Steph McGovern is unveiled as Tomato Sauce – as David Seamen and wife Frankie leave as Pillar and Post due to injury

Television host Steph McGovern has become the latest celebrity to be eliminated from The Masked Dancer after being revealed as Tomato Sauce.

Following a vote, the judging panel – Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall and Peter Crouch – decided it was time for Tomato Sauce to give up the disguise during Saturday’s show

It came after footballing legend David Seaman and wife Frankie left the show after being unmasked as Pillar and Post due to an injury.

After a ‘dance jam’ against Odd Socks, Tomato Sauce was unmasked and revealed to be Steph.

The TV favourite had been dancing up a storm while hidden behind a red suit complete with peplum skirt and large tomato shaped helmet.

All the panel, but Peter Crouch, guessed correctly that it was indeed the Packed Lunch host strutting her stuff on stage.

When asked if any of her team knew she replied: ‘Nope, nobody knows anything’.

She also joked about the wild guesses the judges had made throughout the series including Gordon Ramsay and Mick Hucknell.

With Jonathan teasing: ‘I’m still not convinced you’re not Mick Hucknall’.

‘We were gutted as we absolutely loved every minute! It was great fun but a tumble meant our Masked journey came to an end too soon, we had such a blast and we were sad that we had to hang up our masks without being able to share our final dance with you all!

‘We have loved being part of this series and we wish the other competitors the best of luck as we continue to watch at home and try to guess who all the other celebrities are!’

An ITV spokesperson confirmed: ‘Due to an injury sustained during rehearsals Pillar has had to withdraw from the competition, we wish her a speedy recovery.’
