This Morning's Josie Gibson channels her inner Spider-Man while abseiling down the ITV studios

Josie Gibson channeled her inner Spider-Man as she abseiled down the ITV studios in London on Tuesday to mark the iconic film’s 20th anniversary.

The chat show host, 37, claimed she felt like ‘Spider-Woman’ as she mirrored the superheroes moves by climbing down the side of a building – with a little extra help.

The presenter spoke to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby live from the rooftop, where she let the world know she ‘feels like Spider-Women!’.

Josie looked fantastic in the red and blue clinging catsuit, while sporting a red eye mask and striking a pose.

She told Phillip and Holly: ‘Good morning both. It’s your favourite crime fighting superhero Spider-Man here, web slinging my way around the television centre, making sure everything is alright.’

Phillip said, ‘I don’t remember Spider-Man having a Bristolian accent!’

Josie took off her mask, revealing her true identity and said, ‘It’s me!’.

Phillip was in shock and asked if she felt ok and she replied: 'I went for a bit of hypnotherapy. I feel, Phil, like Spider-Woman!'

Josie went on to explain her reason for abseiling down the TV centre today: ‘With great power comes great responsibility. That’s the famous quote said to Peter Parker before he became one of our favourite superheroes – Spider-Man.’

She added, ‘For me, it’s taking a whole new meaning. Today marks Spider-Man’s 20th anniversary on the big screen and I’m going to be scaling that iconic wall on the television centre. Good luck to me!’

She then geared up in a safety helmet, harness and hiking boots in preparation for the big moment.

Josie screamed: ‘My spider senses are telling me maybe this is a bad idea!’ as Holly and Phillip cheered her on from inside the studio.

They said: ‘If you like action movies then you wanna tune in to this because this is the real action here.’

Earlier in the year, current Spider-Man Tom Holland spoke candidly to Josie and co-presenter Holly Willoughby about his future as Spider-Man during an appearance on This Morning.

The London-born actor, 25, admitted his latest outing as the web-slinging superhero ‘might be his last’.

Tom explained: ‘It could be my last Spider-Man, but the first one could have been.’ He added: ‘If it’s time, I would step down proudly.’

Tom – who looked dapper in a collared navy jumper – also revealed he is relieved to finally be able to speak openly about the fact that former Spider-Men Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

He noted: ‘It’s actually quite nice to be able to say this now. We finally have the three Spider-Man’s sharing the screen. Playing Spider-Man can be quite alienating.’

Of his relationship with the two actors, Tom added: ‘To have that brotherhood was quite special.’

He also assured Holly and Josie that despite his global fame, he has remained grounded thanks to his tight-knit family.

‘I have a great network of friends and family,’ he shared.

‘My family are the first people to tell me if I have a Hollywood moment and keep me grounded.’
