There are fast cars and then there is the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ – the French brand’s hypercar that was clocked setting a world record top speed for a production model that the public can buy.

And it appears that three well-heeled customers from the UK are getting their hands on the ultra-exclusive car, of which just 30 have been made.

HR Owen Bugatti London has taken delivery of the UK orders this week and pictured the trio parked in formation inside the dealership’s workshop.

With each priced at around €3.5million before taxes (around £4million inclusive of VAT and delivery charges), pictured is a staggering haul of £12million-worth of lightning-fast vehicles.

The Chiron Super Sport 300+ was first revealed to the world in 2019 when it became the first car from a production manufacturer to break the 300mph barrier, recording a world record speed of 304.773mph, with Official Bugatti Test Pilot Andy Wallace behind the wheel.

It was announced shortly after that just 30 examples of the Chiron Super Sport 300+ would be handcrafted and delivered to customers worldwide – 10 per cent of which have now arrived in London.

HR Owen confirmed to us that the three cars – which represent 10 per cent of the limited production run – are for customers based in the capital and South of England.

In order to achieve its world-record speed, the Chiron Super Sport 300+ received a number of meticulously engineered upgrades.

Most obviously, its streamlined bodywork was redesigned to include a ‘longtail’, which helped maintain a smooth flow of air over the car to maintain stability at high speeds. The new shape, and a set of vertical exhaust pipes, allowed for a diffusor 32 per cent larger, helping to further increase downforce.

The legendary eight-litre W16 engine was upgraded with reinforced pistons, larger turbochargers and an oil pump capable of operating at higher pressures, to deliver a total of 1,578bhp, which is 99bhp more than a ‘standard’ Chiron.

The Chiron Super Sport 300+ is marked out by its unique paintwork. Compared with Super Sport, which shares a longtail body, the Super Sport 300+ is finished in black carbon fibre, complemented by a Jet Orange racing stripe running through the centre of the car.

Carbon continues to flow through into the car’s engine cover, and even the windscreen wiper.

Additional flourishes complete the 300+’s design, including a Bugatti ‘Macaron’ logo made of genuine silver and black enamel, and strong magnesium alloy wheels finished in a bespoke colour named ‘Nocturne’.

The sold-out Chiron Super Sport 300+ vehicles are being built at Bugatti’s headquarters in Molsheim, France.
