Tiffany Haddish stuns in a green Dolce & Gabbana gown while presenting at the Oscars

Tiffany Haddish stunned in a glamorous green gown while hitting the red carpet and presenting at the 94th Oscars.

The 42-year-old actress presented the Best International Feature Film award with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu, which was won by Japan’s Drive My Car.

After the event, she also weighed in on the most controversial moment of the night – when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife Jada, which Haddish called, ‘the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.’

Haddish hit the red carpet in a shimmering green strapless Dolce & Gabbana that fell all the way to the ground and featured a small train.

She accessorized with diamond studded earrings, a thick necklace and several rings from Pomellato jewelry for her red carpet look.

The Afterparty star flirted with her Canadian co-presenter Simu Liu, joking that she has a ‘thing’ for Canadians with their ‘circle bacon,’ the ‘men with the jackets that ride moose,’ and their accents, though she added they can ‘unpack’ that later.

After the ceremony, though, all the talk turned towards Will Smith’s controversial slap, with Haddish explaining why she thought it was ‘beautiful.’

‘When I saw a Black man stand up for his wife. That meant so much to me,’ Haddish said of Smith, whose wife Jada Pinkett Smith was the butt of one of Chris Rock’s jokes.

Pinkett Smith has been dealing with alopecia, an autoimmune condition that causes the loss of hair, since 2018, though Rock poked fun at her bald head, saying he was looking forward to G.I. Jane 2, which did not amuse Jada.

While Rock continued his bit, Smith abruptly went on stage and walked up to Rock and slapped him across the face, and then telling him from his seat, ‘Keep my wife’s name out your f***ing mouth,’ which stunned the crowd at the Dolby Theater.

Haddish added, ‘And that meant the world to me. And maybe the world might not like how it went down, but for me, it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen because it made me believe that there are still men out there that love and care about their women, their wives.’

She mentioned that Rock is a ‘friend’ to both Will and Jada, but she questioned, ‘Why would you do that? He didn’t even run the joke by her, but she was hurt though.’

Meant the world: Haddish added, 'And that meant the world to me. And maybe the world might not like how it went down, but for me, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen because it made me believe that there are still men out there that love and care about their women, their wives'

‘If she wouldn’t have been hurt, [Will] probably wouldn’t have said nothing. But you could see he was clearly… And they exploited it. They exploited her, so “I have to do something”… He protected his wife,’ Haddish explained.

Smith would later win Best Actor for his performance as Venus and Serena Williams’ father, Richard Williams, in the Warner Bros. film King Richard.

During his speech he would ultimately apologize to The Academy, though he did not apologize to Rock.
