The star was quizzed on Wednesday’s Loose Women about her love life while promoting the latest series of Celebs Go Dating.
The Sweden-born TV star began by explaining that while her three ex-husbands were her age, her recent dates have been up to 28 years her junior, the youngest admirer only 26.
She admitted: ‘Recent ones, I’ve only really had dates, I guess, I’ve not had a relationship with anybody – but the dates have been a little younger, yes.
‘They didn’t know I was Ulrika Jonsson, which was great.’

She added thoughtfully: ‘That’s the dream, to have someone just take you for who you are. I guess the youngest was 26. So yeah 26, 30 ish.’
The mother-of four is among the latest group of celebrities hoping to be lucky in love in the upcoming series of the E4 dating show.
Of her ideal match, Ulrika said ‘variety is the spice of life’ and said she won’t be changing now she’s in her fifties.
‘If I’m too lively, too crazy for someone, then you’re not my guy. You need to be able to handle someone who is lively and is not prepared to go quietly into older age.
Honest: It comes after Ulrika divulged that she’s found it ‘refreshing’ dating younger men because they don’t know who she is
‘But you’ve got to have some conversation as well, right? That doesn’t always happen,’ she said candidly.
She went on to explain: ‘I’ve never had a type, so variety has been the spice of life.
‘I guess you could tick boxes and say this is what I’m looking for, or this is what I would like this person to have, but the second you see them come in you more or less know.’
Ulrika has been single since her 2019 divorce from third husband Brian Monet after the pair parted ways after ten years together. They have one son, Malcolm, 13.
Her first marriage to cameraman John Turnbull was in 1990 and they have a son, Cameron, 27.
The presenter’s second marriage in 2003 was to Lance Gerrard-Wright who, at the time, was a contestant on her TV show Mr Right. They share a daughter, Martha, 17.
The mother-of-four also has a daughter, Bo, 21, with ex-boyfriend hotelier, Marcus Kempen, who she separated from in 2000 after two years.
Forming the stellar line-up for this year’s Celebs Go Dating include: Singer and rapper Abz Love, TOWIE starlet Chloe Brockett, Married At First Sight’s Nikita Jasmine and Jessika Power, reality star Marty McKenna, Made In Chelsea charmer Miles Nazaire and The Apprentice contestant Ryan-Mark Parsons.

She said: ‘I was so young. I didn’t know myself. I did some not very nice things. I was unfaithful, which is more than not nice.’
HUNTER – 1996
Shortly after her divorce, Ulrika sought comfort in the arms of Gladiators star James Crossley, known on the series as Hunter.
The pair met while Ulrika co-hosted the show with John Fashanu, Hunter being one of the athletes competing against members of the public in physical challenges.
Office romance: Shortly after her divorce, Ulrika sought comfort in the arms of Gladiators star James Crossley, known on the series as Hunter
After their romance, she said: ‘Well, I guess I was infatuated with James. It was a physical thing. And what a nice man he turned out to be!’
Her last remark was a dig at him; he famously sold stories about their romance to the papers.
STAN COLLYMORE – 1998
Ulrika dated footballer Stan Collymore for a year in 1998.
Their relationship was marred with controversy, however, when she was a victim of domestic abuse.
In an interview with Heat Magazine in 2000, she said that she would never forgive him for what happened between them – despite his claims at the time that they were still friends.
Ulrika was allegedly hit and kicked in the head by him during a vicious assault in a Paris bar in 1998. She went on to accuse the former England forward of pretending there was no bad blood between them, in an attempt to wipe out the negative repercussions of the assault.

‘I think something like what he did is so monumental and so unforgivable that at some stage the man needs a reality check,’ she said. ‘I am not going to let him use me as his ticket back into respectable society.
‘I have obviously made the mistake in the past that when he has phoned once every six months to pour his heart out about himself, I have listened. But that’s just me sitting there listening to him and going ‘Yeah . . . yeah . . . very interesting, I’m going to bed now, goodbye’.
‘And if he thinks that’s being a friend and being a shoulder to cry on, then he’s very deluded indeed. I certainly won’t forgive him for what he did and he is certainly not a friend of mine.’
MARKUS KEMPEN – 2000
After her relationship with Stan ended, she became involved with German hotelier Markus Kempen, with whom she had daughter Bo.
Markus walked out on them amid much trauma, with Bo requiring major heart surgery just after she was born and then later in 2000.

In the same Heat interview, Ulrika, 33 at the time, said: ‘It’s something I spend every day thinking about and every day telling myself not to think about.
‘When Bo is of speaking age she will know that her father is somebody called, er, something, I forget his name.’
Markus was not registered as the father on Bo’s birth certificate.
At the time, she added: ‘It’s not fair to tar everyone with the same brush. So I don’t think all men are b*****ds. But I think some men are boys and always will be. You just have to sort the men from the boys.’
LANCE GERRARD-WRIGHT – 2002-2005
Husband number two Lance Gerrard-Wright was supposed to be the prize for the female contestants on Mr Right, a 2002 TV dating show Ulrika presented.

However, she ended up scooping him for herself. They married in 2003 and had daughter Martha in 2004.
They ended up separated in 2005, and eventually became divorced. This was thanks to the affair she had with Sven-Göran Eriksson.
SVEN-GÖRAN ERIKSSON – 2002

BRIAN MONET – 2006-2019
In 2012 Ulrika put the ‘stresses and pressures’ of the past few years to one side to renew her wedding vows to Brian in a beautiful ceremony in Barbados.
Speaking to Hello! magazine at the time the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant said she ‘wanted to do something special’ after a tough few years which saw her battle depression and a chronic back condition.
Ulrika told the magazine: ‘Hard times either force you apart or bring you closer together. The stresses and pressures we have experienced over the past couple of years, I am thrilled to say, have made us stronger.’
In the magazine interview Ulrika said Brian was ‘more than just my husband’.
The flame’s gone out: Ulrika hasn’t posted a picture of Brian on her Instagram since August 2017 when Brian treated her to a birthday cake on her 50th
Ulrika gushed: ‘He is a jaw-droppingly brilliant father who has the same values of parenthood as I do. His patience knows no bounds; his love for our children is unconditional and their love for him completes our family entirely.’
In 2017, the star spoke to the Daily Mail’s Weekend magazine about her marriage, admitting Brian occasionally riled her.
She said: ‘He gets on my nerves and I get on his, but I feel that I can be myself with him and I’ve never felt that with anyone. I know I’ve changed, and the menopause has been to blame for some of that, but that’s how it is, isn’t it? I can’t stop time.’
Of her third divorce, Ulrika told Best magazine this week: ‘You can only resolve problems with another person. If I’m honest, getting another divorce aged 51 is not where I thought I would be, so who knows?
‘I just don’t know what shape my future will take. I can’t contemplate dating again. Then again, I’ve said I will never marry again before, and I did. I’ve been content being out of the limelight. I haven’t craved it but, that said, I do need to live.’
